Ministries
The Holy Spirit community has wonderful ministries providing
members ample opportunity to enjoy fellowship, formation, and service.
Fellowship & Family Ministry
Parents of Little Ones (POLO): POLO is a group for parents of children from birth through elementary school. This fellowship group provides parents time to get to know each other. This group meets every other month at a host family’s home on a Friday night with food, fun and fellowship. This is a parent only event, although infants are always welcome. The church helps with childcare when needed.
PG13 - Parent Group 13: This group is a branch of POLO. PG13 is for parents who have children entering their Tween years. This fellowship group is for families who have later elementary school and early middle school kids. This group meets every other month at a host's home or at a restaurant in the area. This is a parent only event.
Holy Spirit Mom's Group: Our women of POLO have a GroupMe account to help keep us connected through messaging. It’s a great tool for our community of women to keep connected, pray for each other, to organize social gatherings and stay in the know of opportunities happening at Holy Spirit. One of our members is using this platform to organize a fall book study!
Men's Group: This is a fellowship group for all men at Holy Spirit. This is a great way to get connected with other men at Holy Spirit through activities such as Happy Hours, watching a sporting event, trivia night, or grilling for church activities.
Betweeners: This a fun and fellowship group for empty nesters of all ages. They meet every other month in someone's home.
Seniors, Retirees, and Empty Nesters (SREN): SREN is a social group for our older parishioners. Every other month, a field trip is organized to a place of interest in the Houston area. On alternate months, SREN hosts a luncheon at the church, catered by a local restaurant.
Small Group Supper Club: This is a multi-generational group organized in the fall and again in the spring. It is designed to facilitate all ages becoming friends. Groups of three or four couples meet each month at a group members home. Each couple brings a different dish to share. This is an adults only gathering, and a long-time Holy Spirit favorite!

Children's & Youth Ministry
Children's Church: The Storymakers NYC curriculum is used to spark curiosity, hope, and faith by drawing individuals into God’s redemptive narrative as we seek to deepen the Christian faith of children and grown-ups alike. Children are led to the children's chapel during the sequence hymn and return to worship at the peace.
Nursery Care: Available to our young ones, birth to 5 years old every Sunday and for other special events. Child Care: Available to all ages during Adult Formation and similar events. Vacation Bible School : We offer VBS every summer for a week of learning about God’s Love. VBS is open to kids entering PK through 5th grades. VBS also gives our youth the opportunity to serve the younger ones in our community while building leadership skills in themselves. |
Youth Group : meets several times a month after church for lunch, Bible Study, games and fellowship.
Mission Trip: annual mission trip to help serve our community nationally and abroad. |
